James "Jim" Goodman, AIA

Jim has spent more than five decades designing buildings that stand the test of time. As Principal Architect of James Goodman Architecture, he has led the design of residential, commercial, industrial, and self-storage projects throughout California, becoming one of the industry's most respected experts in self-storage facility planning and design.

 

Through Arclogica's partnership with James Goodman Architecture, Jim provides design leadership, technical guidance, and strategic insight on every self-storage project. His extensive experience with entitlement strategies, efficient site planning, and long-term building performance brings tremendous value to both our clients and project teams. Just as importantly, he enjoys mentoring younger architects and sharing the lessons he's learned throughout his exceptional career.

 

Jim is known for his thoughtful, practical approach to architecture and his belief that the best projects are built through collaboration, trust, and lasting relationships.

 

Outside of work, Jim enjoys traveling the country by car, photographing national parks, and spending time with family and friends at Lake Almanor.
