Lucy Avalos Community Center

Dedicated to Lynwood resident, volunteer, and activist, Lucy Avalos, this well-loved community center located in John D. Ham Park provides a home for programs and events serving the local community. This 8,600 square foot building contains a reception area, multi-purpose rooms, a central game room, a kitchen, staff offices, public restrooms, a concession area, and a security office. There is also extensive outdoor space used for classes, camps, and other community events. The center was built with sustainability in mind, achieving LEED Gold certification.
